  1. Stay on the outskirts and travel in. We normally stay round Potters Bar/Elstree area with quick trains into Kings Cross/St Pancras. Just a thought if your coming from Wales be aware that digs in West London outskirts will probably be steep due to the close proximity of Heathrow. Whatever you do have a great weekend.

  3. Speaking about cooki g out side I was going to start a topic but it'll no matter now . I'm thinking about building an out side oven type thing , would it be ok to use carmillie flag stone for the base if it ? So they're Wirk be some amount of hugest inside it or what would you use ?

I built an outdoor cob oven for my daughters school last summer. Give me a shout if that the sort of thing you're thinking of.

  4. I've had mine out (at 15 months old), so has my mum and my eldest lad, all due to a hereditary blood cell disorder. It hasn't really stopped any of us doing what we have wanted to do.

The main thing is without a spleen you are classed as immuno deficient so can be open to infections and what you would think minor things can turn pretty nasty. Your dad will be on antibiotics for the rest of his life and he must have an annual flu jab and a pneumococcal jab every few years (something to do with a strain of meningitis).

Hope he has a speedy recovery and make sure that especially during the next 12 months that if he feels unwell to get to the GP.

  5. This years Belvoir Hunt terrier & lurcher show is to take place on Sunday 01st June 2014.

I love it......I've been to some great curry houses from brick lane to sparkbrook........but it's a bloody struggle to find a good one here, it's one of the things I miss about England lol

Have you been to punjabi paradise?

I couldn't tell you mate lol.....one of my best mates used to live in brum, he was my guide, at the end of the night, after we'd finished in places like legs eleven.......we would invariably end up in sparkbrook or mosely having a curry :-)........good times

I lived in Brum years ago and its the only thing I occasionally miss. At Punjabi Paradise if you didn't ask for it then you didn't get cutlery, just mop it op with a naan. Had some messy nights in more ways than one :-)

I must admit, I loved brum.........we had some fantastic day/night sessions that would take in every corner of the city........broad street, Chinese quarter, the balti triangle, the copious amount of lap dancing clubs, jazz clubs & house clubs......the custard factory etc etc........I got beaten up, laid, & totally wasted.......& loved every minute of it!!

I've been left there 20 years but got some great memories. Probably changed beyond all recognition now.
