  1. Thanks guys; I now realise that mine is closed not open!!
  2. I'm using a Parker Hale and havn't cleaned it through yet. What's the recommended number of rounds to put through before needing to clean?
  3. I was in that plane....now I know who took me out!
  4. Took me 26 years of Air Rifle shooting, (plus the odd SA80, HKG36, MP5 and Sig 7.62mm) before I eventually progressed onto a FAC last month. There's no substitute for learning how to consistently stalk seriously switched on bunnys down to 30 metres for a clean kill.
  5. I went for the synthetic stock, having just bought a CZ 452 Silhouette because it's a tool and I even though I will look after it over the years I don't went to be too precious about it with knocks, bumps, scrapes, rain etc. Having used wooden stock quality air rifles for years I just felt it was time to use something that was functional .......but not so pretty......bit like me!
  6. Got to be a wind up this one....................?
  7. Go for a 'normal' job, which pays well and gives you plenty of time off and spend your money and time on shooting!
  8. Essex Lad, Army or Armed Response Vehicles? Pay is not bad in either!
  9. Bobby B, Having just been through the 'researching .22 LR rifles to death' phase of my life, prior to buying one, I went for the CZ452 Silhouette 16". I'm really chuffed with it....I steered clear of the 10/22 after several people did mention to me they can have a habit of jamming just at the critical moment. So the CZ 452 bolt action gets my vote - for what it's worth!
  10. Careful how you spell cant - you might end up with more than you bargained for!
  11. I'll probably end up going round full circle and stick with the Winchester Super X's....but only after fitting the trigger kit! Cheers.
  12. OK - thanks again. I'll try both Eley and Magtech rounds and certainly fit the Brooks trigger kit in due course....and update you. Regards.
  13. Thanks......I've found some good stuff already...well worth the few minutes it took to register.
  14. I'll be trying that on my new 452 Silhouette. Thanks for the guide and pics.
  15. Thanks for the prompt replies - it's interesting to hear about the Eleys. I'll put a box or two of those through and see how I get on. I'll have a look at the trigger kits too. Thanks for the advice.
