    Hi, I am not sure about the FAC but both times the firearms officer came round to visit regarding my SGC its been relatively informal. The first guy did ask where I would be shooting though and where I intended to keep cartridges but he knew that my dad had a shotgun for years so he seemed a bit more relaxed maybe? The second guy was equally relaxed but this was for a change of address and so knew I had already been inspected before, think he just asked how many guns the cabinet took, might have been for his records?     Hi Mike, I will try to briefly guide you in the right direction but to answer all your questions in detail would not be practical and I only have knowledge in the areas of shooting that I practise, but this is how I see things...... As you have very little practical or theoretical knowledge at the moment I would strongly recommend that you look into air rifles as your first step into shooting for several reasons.     Hi, I am not suggesting you would be powering the gun up either but..... I believe the new HW100 (the Mk3 I think) is designed to be tamper proof and you could end up with a knackered gun if you were to follow the video which was carried out on an earlier model I think!? On a different note, I recently bought the HW100K in .22 and found it to be excellent so far. Really nicely balanced and supremely accurate.     When I first bought my HW100 I wasn't really thinking about night shooting. I went for the Hawke 3-9x50 MAP 6 scope, which I am really pleased with, it was easy to zero and on my first shot at live quarry with the new setup I got a rabbit just behind the eye at 25-30 yards Anyway, I am now thinking about shooting at night and looking at getting something like a Logun lamp ( http://www.airrifleshop.co.uk/Accessories/Lamps.htm see towards the bottom of this page) would this combination of lamp and scope be OK or am I going to struggle to see the cross hairs accurately or even at all?     Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and have recently bought a Weihrauch HW100 in .22 after many years of not owning or using an air rifle. I am really pleased with it so far but wanted some advise on how best to look after it? I have bought some fibre cleaning wads which I was planning to shoot through after every 500 or so pellets, is this necessary or good practise? Should I oil the cleaning wads before firing them through the rifle? Also if anyone has any other tips or recommendations it would be good to hear from you. Thanks, Aleks
