  1. Thanks Dan - still think its ridiculous price for a bit of pressed steel and a spring. In the US I see they sell the 15 shot mag for around £14 Cheers for the speedy reply! Jed
  2. Does anyone know where to get a spare magazine for a Marlin 795 .22 rifle - without going to USA! E-mailed Edgar Bros (twice!) - no reply. I have been told they cost £50 - which is ridiculous when you consider the rifle cost less than £250. PS - Its brilliant, holds its aim, very few misfeeds if you keep the ejector port clean, reliable on different types of subsonics (though my preference is for RWS I tend to use bog standard Winchester. Hope you can help Regards Jed
  3. Help! Trying to get hold of a spare magazine for my Marlin 795 .22 rimfire. Nobody seems to be able to get hold of one. Even Edgar Bros do not seem to have got any - have to be imported and none due anytime soon. Northern Optice really helpful but say a magazine (when it does get to this country) will be about £50! For a piece of pressed nickel steel with a spring in it? Half that price would be about right. Love the rifle, hate Marlin for such poor backup service. Any suggestions (and don't say sell the rifle!)? Jed
  4. One day! (I thought it was another phantom!) Thanks for the advice
  5. Have allowed past ferrets to breed with resulting kits, but left hob in - great dad and no issues despite warnings to the contrary. Now have a hob and a jill who live together, and thought that he was firing blanks - but no despite her phantom pregnancy first time she has just delivered! I separated him but would like some advice on how soon I can reintroduce him to to his new family. Is about 3 weeks too soon? Yes, going to get him vasectomised now I know he is firing on all cylinders! Appreciate your help Jed
  6. Anybody shot one of these? Looking at a marlin 795 stainless at the moment. Anybody got one? Seen any reports on them? Good points and bad ones? Appreciate some help Thanks, Jed
  7. Still labouring away with my old bolt action .22 rimfires. As I have just bought a Simmons 3.5x10x50 I am now determined to get a new rimfire (buy a scope - just got to buy a rifle - can you think of a better excuse?). Problem is I do not like the feel/balance of the CZ511. Any ideas in the same price range - but miss out the Ruger10/22 Thanks,
  8. Going to buy a new .22LR. Any advice? Been advised not get 10/22 or Remmie 597. CZ 511 seems an option? Looking now at Marlin 795 or 60 in stainless. So many opinions - I want an out of box semi auto rimfire for less than £300. Ok - accuracy, reliability, handling, ease of use - over to you! Thanks, Jed
