  1. Crows...my arch nemasis They're tricky animals. If you get too close to them, they'll send up an alarm call and alert every creature in the neighbourhood! The best thing to do is like someone said earlier, get to a field where you know they feed really early before sun up, plant some decoys, get hidden and wait for them to land. Try to stay hidden as long as possible or as soon as they see you they'll never let you get hidden again. Good luck!
  2. Sounds like there's a few mixed views on this one. I'd love to try a boar hunt sometime, I live in Hampshire, England and i'm not sure that there are any near my neck of the woods. I'll have to travel to the Forest of Dean or Dorchester by the sounds of it. I'd like to get a fire arms certificate to shoot live rounds but I don't know where to start and wouldn't know what to apply for. I need to find land first too to take down the prey before I get too hasty. Can anyone offer any advise about applying for one? Do I have to live in rural areas or can people who live in urban areas
  3. Hia, New to the site, found it when looking for advise on cooking a pheasant. Any one else on here from the Hampshire area? The only shooting I do is airgunning, i've only bagged pidgeons so far which i take the breast meat from. My dad's pretty good and usually ends up with a few rabbits when he goes out. I'm still learning patience... Haven't been for a while though and hoping to get back into it. I use my Dad's old Webly Vulcan, simple but effective! I'm also interesting in snaring and trapping but am currently in the research stages as I don't want make a cack trap s
