I hope Countrywide Kennels keeps their promise Dave and the kennels are delivered on the said date. Let us know how you get on Dave as Countrywide Kennels was recommended to me, as my son and myself are both looking for 2x 2 block kennels. So will be looking on with interest.

Hopkins for a 43 year old man still has very good footwork and upper body movement, but to beat Calzaghe he will have to try and spoil the fight by shutting Joe down and bidding his time to throw the big right hand. Calzaghe is the much better fighter and will take the fight to Hopkins and start at a good pace and will maintain that pace to the final round Joe should win on points but hopefully he will stop him before the final bell and extend his unbeaten record to 45 fights. Hi Kay, Greys make wonderful house pets and as you say needs a bit of time and patience. When you bring your dog home for the first time walk him around the garden first, if he is to be let loose you need a fence of at least 5ft saying that my old racer cleared a 6ft wall with ease. Greyhounds have lived their entire lives in kennels so before becoming a house pet it means changes in routines for the dog, but you will find they are intelligent dogs and soon adapt. For the first few days keep the dog on a lead and muzzled. When introducing the greyhound to your cats, this is where the fun begin

If a greyhound wont chase the lure and give 100%, then he is not much good for the track, so a good home is found. One of the reasons is he knows its just a piece of tin, its not the real thing. Try taking him lamping.

I also do not like the nail touching the ground when the dog stands up. In my opinion nails should be around 8mm. When trimming back I always trim a little at a time being careful not to cut the quick (nerve) as this is extremely painful to the dog. If the nail has been pulled off leaving the quick, soak in warm salt water, the nail will grow back forming a film around the quick and then it will harden.

Hi mate, check at the toenail bed to see if any fragment of the broken nail embedded, this will cause swelling and infection. Need antibiotics and maybe a poultice and soak the foot in salt water. It may pay to have an xray on the toe in case its fractured.

Hi Everyone, I should just like to introduce myself, My names Paul and I live in the Vale of Glamorgan, S. Wales. I have enjoyed all forms of hunting and field sports all my life but I am more of a Dog man now (the fast ones). I have made many friends from these sights both nationally and internationally. Learnt a lot from these forums and I find it a great place to exchange ideas and oppinions. I accidently came across this site and immeadiately found it very informative.
