    With the advent of the Festival of Falconry in 2007 and then again in 2009, it was clear that a specific falconry event was something the United Kingdom needed. With the festival moved overseas and the date deep inside the UK hawking season, The United Kingdom Falconers Club and The International Centre for Birds of Prey felt the time was right to launch a specific falconry event for all UK falconers.     My fiancé flies a female Gos and is looking for anyone who owns/rents or has hunting/conservation permission or rights. Basically he's asking if anyone would be interested in allowing him onto the moors to hunt Blue Hare with his Gos, especially if you're trying to control numbers.     I make purse nets for people and have been asked if it would be possible to make some french purse nets, does anyone know how they are made or has seen them? I've tried looking for any info online but had no such luck. If anyone has any idea, i'd really appreciate their input. ATB Jen

    Getting the pup used to the birds from day one is going to be the most important thing by far. Then when it has grown up and matured slightly I will concerntrate on getting the retrieving and stop command perfect to ensure perfect control as well as encouraging her to stay close. ATB Jen

    Thing is they released too many in Bucks/Oxford and now they're overrun with them! Definitely wayyy too many down there - especially in Stokenchurch! They didn't consider that they would breed so well after being reintroduced! borntoshoot - there's no way a red kite shitting dented a bin lid and smashed a car windscreen...they'd have to shit bricks!

    For those of you out there that train spaniels how would you recommend training a Cocker? I am looking to train as a gundog on shoots retrieving but will also be using it below my hawks and falcons in the hawking season...what are your views? ATB Jen

    Black and white bitch, mainly white with black mottling. Was out the other day with our friend flying a falcon to the kite, herd of cattle were approaching, the dogs were messing about, got bird on glove and went to call dogs and realised the dog was missing. The dog is NOT microchipped, she was lost a few days ago, last seen wandering up M25/A3 near Wisley (Nr. Guildford) as the police tried retrieving the dog. He's been out for the last few days and nights looking for her. This bitch means a lot to all of us and especially the owner who is a fellow falconer. I'm gonna get a pic up now f
