Never used anything else, ive called loads of foxes with this call, you've just got to get the volume right i find cupping your hand around the call helps, sometimes sucking the call works wonders and thats no joke ! Yep cupping the hand around the end and flapping your fingers worked for me. But being it would, it snapped when it got sat one lol why didnt you shhot the fox with your 20 bore -

Ive only caught one ell in my lifetime and it wasn't even quarter of that put it back though as soon as I mentioned it to a friend he said he would of had it told me an old recipe for them yuk I wouldn't try it
