    i was looking to spend up to £400 or £500 for a new or good secondhand one if you think the nikko would hold its zero i would consider one of those

This link has the dovetail measurement as 0.7" which i believe is 19mm. http://cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=18 Best thing if you can is go to a shop to buy mounts and take the gun with you. what height do the mounts need to be medium or high mounts

    is the nikko nighteater a good scope and will it hold its zero on a 22.250 also are they clear optics A mate used to have one on his, got a Schmidt and Bender now, and he never had any trouble with it, it is a good scope for the money, you should have no problems with good mounts with this scope. what size of mounts will i need width i mean and where can i get them they nighteater scopes look ok seem good value and thanks again

    i paid £550 secondhand from a friend he bought it new and didnt like the 20 bore he prefers the 12 bore i would have fired 250 to 300 cartridges through it its a good clean gun so i am going to sell it not useing it much so its as well away

    It really depends on the amount of shooting the gun has done and how old it is, but as you say it is in good condition. Second hand ones seem to be going for about £500-550 on average, if you post some pictures I could be able to give you a slightly more accurate answer, but without seeing the gun it is difficult, Small bores are still fetching a premium at the moment so you may get a good price for it, Have a look on guntrader.co.uk, and in the back on the shooting magazines classified ads to see what others are asking/fetching.     thanks for that just starting to reload so lots to learn i bought a set of callipers to measure the lenth of the bullet how long do yu make yours with v max 55gr and thanks again for your help

    its a cz 550 i have i made 35gr bullets up not tried them yet thats with the 55gr vmax how will i know when a load suits if it is underpowered will they not group even though they are all the same

    when you reload your own bullets what grouping should i get at 100 yds i made some 55gr vmax up with 35 gr of the vit 140 on the net it says 35.6 it is the max i can use is this true thanks for your help
