  1. My other half is the best one at sorting hedge hogs lol. We came back one night from a night out on the piss and there was a hedge hog on the driveway... He knelt down on all fours and was TALKING to it?!?!?! (Fool) :nea: :alcoholic: Anyway the next day I went out to the car and it was dead in the same place where he'd been talking to it. I'm still to this day unsure whether he toxicated it or bore it to death!!
  2. surely that doesnt matter as if they dont find the chip in the normal place they scan the whole dog anyway? I don't mean to be rude but think about it a bit.... If a microchip moves down a dogs leg for instance and positions its self on a joint or say in the dogs toes it's not very comfortable....
  3. Reminds me of my patt bitch. I have been told her breeding by two ppl who know her ( i got her as a 2 year old) one of them said she's old nuttall
  4. At 2-3days old? The needles are quite large to implant the chip with! Also to get nice and accurate between the shoulder blades to prevent the chip from moving 7-8weeks is a far better age.
  5. Correct Mk3. (on the 1/3 and the chipping). The pup just has to be chipped before 6 months. Doesn't matter by who so long as they are a vet or a qualified implanter like myself. I personally get mine chipped before they go because if the owner didn't get it done i wouldn't want it coming back on me... MK3, apparently (though I must admidt I haven't ever done it)...The chip registrations forms can be sent in blank. Therefore the dog is chipped just the chip is not registered to anybody... someone off here told me.. With the microchips, my suppliers keep all the barcode/chip info so if a d
  6. I completely agree with you I just can't beleive that people organising these shows haven't heard of the law. Therefore don't know the ways to work round it!
  7. SHOW OFF!! lol Only joking great pics
  8. I really want to go out this weekend and was looking about for some terrier shows. there are 3 in Sussex this Sunday (2hours from me). I have two pups and one bitch to take and I dont really fancy going all the way down there to find that they aren't allowing docked pups. 1st one I called up i spoke to someone who didn't have a clue who put me on to the hunt kennels but he hadn't heard of the law but said come down as they'll all be allowed in. 2nd one I spoke to said they are stating NO docked pups so the show doesn't get into trouble but I can enter if the judge lets me. 3rd Never heard of t
  9. Berry in the resorvior on a hot day playing with the tennis balls
  10. Our Gun Dogs. Lab 9-10 year old. Flat Coat 5 yo
  11. it is not up to the new owner to chip it gets done with same vet then upto new owner to reg him as new owner of pup the pup has to be chipped by the time it is 6months old. As far as I was aware the law didn't state who by however I heard it was changing to that they had to be chipped at the time of docking which is ludicrous as the pup would far too small!!
  12. PMSL! I haven't heard that saying before!! I bred them. I have the mum and used the dog from my local hunts terriermen.
  13. Not from that part so not sure where but if your getting a vet to legally dock them for you, you better find a vet soon. The vet we use will only do them when they are 2-3 days old...
  14. Thanks guys for the reply... I think the swimming is great exercise for them. WAs funny teaching them.
  15. I think the red one is going to be a bit of a handful...he is already...if he gets cross (frequently) he tries to lock on to your arm. If we pass another dog on the walks he wants to kill it... he'll calm down if you tell him off but he just flips so quickly! They are like chalk and cheese those brothers.
  16. I suppose I better put a pic on here for the other half as it was his gun dogs that got them going in! lol
  17. A few pictures of our walks down on the marsh on the recent hot days.
  18. is it at the kennels, this hunt deserves support as they have been targeted by the anti scum if your in the area support this show , called in there last year and was made welcome GOOD LUCK Am not that local to it. But a day out and sounds like for a very good cause...
  19. Looks like a good day out... anyone been before or going?
  20. I went with my other half for a couple of years on the trot and must say I wasn't impressed. The terrier show not last year the year before only had a few dogs turn up!! There was two dogs in the Championship. Don't get me wrong may be a better show now but I'm not wasting my money for that one! But just my opinion!
