    thats the most ridiculous thing iv herd. all you need a ferret to do is be not very good at killing rabbits. as long as they dont skulk bit or keep laying up. i know some work earths deeper and faster than others but £200 i dont know whos the bigger fool they man with more money than sense or the ferret cuddler who turned down 2 ton!

    its good to hear peoples veiws thanks. and it seems i live in the dark ages then. im no hipocriteto myself, me choping a rabbit on the necks is no diffrent to nutting blind and unaware ferret kits and id do both. i may be old fashioned but all my animals are worth fedding and breeding and thats how breedings been done for 1000s of years. theres a lot of people on here how are only one step away from being in the anti docing gang.

    if my farmer told me to ferret out of season id tell him to poke it. he ant got to keep digging has he. its the same if they wont let you work a stock broke steady lurcher on land with ferrets. down were i am they want you more than you want them at the end of the day how can they make demands when they dont pay nothing for the srvice.

    with so many litters of ferrets offered for sale should you just keep what you need? iv got two jills that ill breed from soon iv breed ferrets before and know you never make money from them. i only keep jills i need a few for next year myself and a couple of freinds have asked for two jills ill charge tenner each just to cover costs. i think ill kull all hobs at birth as i think its better in the long run. does any one else carry out this practice?

    the qualitie of the dog work wise is eralevant. all hes doing if hes breed from a good dog in the first place is to hold the qualitie of the bitch.

    got a 9 month old total accident pup bred that way now. my old bitch was a class act on the coursing feild her son a young unproven dog got to her by mistake and i lost her at christmas so it worked out well that iv got a copy of her. shes only been out a few times but she marks true, works with ferret and lamp and all her litter mates are shaping up well too. yes shes not as big as the old bitch she was 25 and my pups 22/23 but its worked well cause coursing is to hot round here now for coursing and shes perfect size for rabbits. This strain im confident can run all day or all night long.

    96 i think was when that was made that dog would be 18 or 20! id say hes dead surley. he had a loveley style on a squater. be intresting to hear if hes got any decendents running in geordie land now?

    all a load of rubbish. a muscelled up dog wont hold a long 2 -3 min run. theres plentie of cheating does go on but not drugs if you dont like cheats dont run the irish men!

    when my mate went court for coursing they told him it costs £ 90 EVERY MIN THE HELLICOPTERS UP! i bet they where up a good half hour you don the maths its bloody a lot !

    22 shes breed out of real dogs and im sure shell kill hares but to be honest to me she wont be a match bitch like her mother. shes never seen a hare but cant see her competeing with some 26 27 inch animals and if i take a bitch coursing shes got to be as good as any ones dogs about.

    went on my new 9000 acre permission on sunday. invited friends over from 60 miles away they came along with ferrets, nets, small lurcher and border terreir. my 9 month coursing pup didnt make size for job but shes sensible and marks well so lucky for her shes filled gap of rabbit catcher and she came too. good day all going well young dogs doing well 13 in bag. all of a sudden heelicopter starts circling over us! ! so i politlie hold a ferret up in one hand and give them the finger with the other hand. any way cut long story short 3 police 4x4 and 6 gathers turn up. i call gamekepp
