i would get the bond right between youbefore you do much more hunting, your only going to get frustrated with the dog out,,take him out and just play ball with him, 2 tennis balls, throw one , then get him excited bout the other in your hand but dont throw it til he brings the other in , but dont take it off him just let him drop it, then sling the other one, this play does 2 things it informs the dog that when he brings something to you your not going to claim it off him, and will open a channel of understanding between you 2, i would also call him by name when he's coming towards you for

Hi all, looking a bit of advice, Ive just bought a 14 month old greyhound/collie (Handcock) the dog was nervous as f**k when i took him probley been very mistreated with the last owners, but hes started to come round. The problem is when i take him out for a lamp he wont retrieve till hand until the thing is dead then he drops but not close enough for me to put him back on the lead and decides to wander round the field for about 5 mins before he returns this dosent happen all the time, but was wondering what way to go about trying to get this to stop with him still being nervous any help would

glad to see someone else like minded chum i have to laugh when people say they are alot easer at night bull shit i have seen good dogs that have taken hares daytime being made look stupid at night it all depends on the hare ya are coursing at that time Yes, but there's doing it & then saying you're doing it on a public forum. No ones having a go at you for your hunting methods, but please be aware that the powers that be (the law) can & do look at this site, and it's not rocket science for them to trace you with the Email addy you used to register your account on here. why

I will help with entries from the north, surely if its just rabbits, a 2 hour slot will be enough on good ground this way u could have a couple of rounds in a night. and wont be so time consuming.

Killed a few foxes on the beach when the tide was out, but the weirdest thing ive ever lamped was a couple of wallabies in a closed field in Northern Ireland i thought i was tripping lol. .

I've been at it a long time mate, Russell's.... you couldn't get rid of them 10 years ago but now you can flog them for ridiculous prices cause they have papers now. As for any cross of lurcher you would pay up to £300 here for a top notch dog.

On the same wave length oldskool would never pay over the odds for a dog, people who buy dogs for that sort of price have too much money or need there heads looked at.
