No Mate, You must mount your transducer outside the boat on the transom for it work properly when your engine is running it does go all scramled untill your stationary but it also picks up weed and plastic bags pritty much anything and system will say it's a fish, The only thing I use mine for is the depth and shallow alarms, I have sonar for wreck location deep holes and fish finding, Like I said the more you pay for the more you get I have GPS marks for these wrecks but I like too see them drifting over the mark
  5. Hi Mate, VHF radio Icom the best name in the game, fish finder' any there all the same unless you buy expensive the more you pay for more khz the better quality If your going out A few miles dont use a hand held VHF my only advice
  6. Hiya pal. Yea it was fecking freezing, my hands in the end couldnt work the reel, lol.. Yeah boat was parked up just in the side of the bay. It is moored back on lomond now. I am going to give it another season, got quite a few people booked in for the guiding you see. So it gives me a good chance to go back to my favourite place. Also i will have some good lamping nights there as well, once the day is over for fishing..... Yes mate, good tope grounds in the liverpool bay, Truth is it's not a good pic it's a bloody mess state of the poor thing they only come in to drop their young they do hang around becaues the feeding good, The rule about tope you strike on the third run before they swollow the hook which in this case that did It's a sorry sight but thats only my opinion
