Cheers. I’m not disagreeing with you hear but Every puppy food I’ve seen are all like 26-30% so would I be better just feeding a normal adults food around 20%? Sorry for sounding daft just I’ve always been told as much protein as possible with pups. But like I said I’m not disagreeing just want to get it right cheer

Alan from Wigan. Done greyhound racing all his life. Know other people lads that have used him and he’s been spot on. Helped me with another dog. Took her there first because I noticed her going stiff in her back legs at night. So thought get her a once over. He said all the legs and everything fine just got some built lactic acid in her saddle muscle. Told me what to give her to help. When you run your hand/fingers over her saddle muscle you can see her twitch so what he’s said make sense. And I reckons as she grows or once she’s grown she’ll be fine he wasn’t worried about it.

Really never had any problems with it but fair enough. What would you put your pups on?

Got her Redmills racer that 28%. Do you think it’s worth trying her on there tracker one that’s 20%?

3/8 5/8 bull grey. She’s a lump of pup tho. About 20kg and 22tts

When I went the boneman she ran his thumbs down her back. And roughly half way down he showed me what I’d call a ripple almost in her back. And he said as soon push’s abit more she’d sit straight down which she did. And he said that’s the build up.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking I just thought I’d see if anyone’s experienced anything similar. Thanks

Possibly the first time I noticed it before i went the boneman. But after that I’ve taken it really easy with like I said out couple times a week just on the lead. He reckons she’s be fine once full grown but I’ve not spoke or met anyone’s else that’s heard about it

GMBulls started following Lactic acid Build up in pup

Hi so I’ve got a bitch lurcher pup. 4 1/2months. A good month ago noticed she seemed to be getting very stiff in back legs at night. So took her a boneman to get checked out. He said she’s getting lactic acid buildup in her saddle muscle. Basically just take it easy and rest her. Which I have. Take her out once every few days and that’s only around the block but even then you can notice she’s been out that night. So I was just wondering has anyone had anything like this or similar before in a pup? thanks
