A few are harder , a few not ! I think it goes more to the harder size combinated with stupidness ! I don´t mean really stupid , because you know they must do a lot of test here ! they must do obdience , retrive , bloodtrail and much more , so they can´t be really stupit ! i think it is the problem with the mind like " you Bite me - i try to bite harder back " and sometimes the quarry got the harder mouth ! Hard to explain - they are not stupit but when they come to work it look´s like in this moment they change to be stupit and a deep we say " Trieb " , don´t now the english word ! T

valerio, steeze do y think that jagt are harder than other terriers? i d say lots of them, mainly youngsters attack with out thinking, this is for me the biggest difference, in exterier may be the front legs are more powerfull than for example jrt or patts, and also their jaws and teeth, but i d say for example working czechterrier has stronger jaws and legs, but this is just my opinion. they attack immeditialy and fight till the end, but y can find also some bolters and bayers. guys what s y point of view? i personnaly prefers beddies and want to try czechterriers. get some new pups on the

valerio mate, same as here, i m the first person with the locator, i wrote an artical to the biggest hunting magazine, i found it as a great thing, very helpfull. people here use mainly jagt. and teckels for earth but also borders, fox terriers, welsh terriers, patts... im the first one to use beddie, now few others too we hunt badgers, foxes, ?beardogs? it looks like badger, sometimes but very rare sakal. but we have earths mainly in hills where live huge badgers, the earth is un diggable, so we wait on them when their coming back home, we shot them or release dog which drawn it or hold it

a lot of potential dogs were ruined because their owners are s... f..., i personnaly decided to quit all shows, just one club show for getting pedigree and opportunity to have pups with pedigree, it s something y have to have for hunting dog here. y know it s........ when y loose to the dog which is weak, no real terrier, his coat is full of cosmetic,.....and the judge says y dog has to many scarves... bloody b........ds let s get back to JOB themes

so our contest is on 24th of June, and there ll be another one but i do not know the date at the moment. we used to have a big action but it was banned, the best dogs from all over the europe came, last time winner was rough coated teckel. i ll be glad to meet y personaly, may be y find here some good dogs for y, we can make a change of puppies to bring some fresh blood. a lot of issues to talk.
-
I would like to finish by saying that all images or links to images showing baiting show not be tolerated....that's my personal opinion. that s no problem, but i didn t put here any baiting link and there were no link in the second jagterriers topic, so why it s out?. i hope the topics ll be back soon, it started to go in wright direction.

Stabs what is going on? why y put away another topic, no links, no picks.... so why?

no mate ive got no pavements but ive got four acres if you think you can get a digging dog 110% fit by walking it down some poxy pavement, your a better man than me. when i mean fit irealy mean fit [/q Only pullin your leg fella But seriously ive managed for 18 yrs working terriers that have never seen a treadmill and they can work all day no prob, ive dug to them when they've been to ground through the night and got em out next day a few times n they've still been raring to go, i walk em bout 2 mile every day and work them 3 days a week, they're fit as a fiddle,i can see your point

nice dog mate, also here in Slovakia some lads still use them, and they do the job.
-
great dogs hope they ll work good for y
-
not a bad thing but i prefere long walks, bikes, swimming and sure hunting, treadmills are great for bulldogs and running dogs for preparing them on race or match, terriers and luchers need to be out as much as they can because it s not just about condition also their resistance against weather, if y always put a terrier on treadmill whenever is outside cold, hot, raining, snowing.... then he may do not want to work in such a weather. Also they always use their noses, they re better with every practice. terrier have to work in all conditions same as his master - this is diggin
-
thx just keepin him for he has been bred for, i hope one day i d can say that i ve a kennel of pure beddies that are TRUE WORKERS. long, hard but beautifull way in front of me.

i agree with y mate, ps we have in June an international contest with full contact on fox, a lot of lads from Europe will come, its for all breeds of terrier except jgt., because it ll be made by club of terriers, jgt have their own club but in the same month there ll be another contest for all kind of breeds which re used for digging. it a good oportunity to meet other lads from europe see some dogs, speak with them, have some drinks.....
