I agree, but both should be avoided in my opinion. -

You can get the other filter which uses that system but the filter I use is the other filter made by the same company which uses micro-ceramics.

I couldn’t comment as my dogs aren’t old but I watched a video of a bloke who claims that dogs can live until around 20 providing its done correctly and depending on other factors obviously

The coldstream filters reduce it by up to 97% as shown in the tests.

I understand your point and its valid but to clarify my point I’m not suggesting if you give a dog tap water it will have an immediate negative effect and you’ll need to fetch the spade, I’m just raising my opinion to that from my own research tap water should be avoided for human consumption, and by extensions dogs as well. Obviously there are cases were this is not appropriate such as large animals and livestock etc.. but for such an easy and cheap change your animal will be better off for it as it will prevent the long term effects caused by the fluoride and other harmful chemicals in the w -
The easiest way is to use a filter mate but alternatively you can use bottled water, I was using bottled water but its easier to use a filter since I use it too.

Look into the studies into the fluoride levels and then look at the studies. -

This post is referring to dogs not livestock. -
I’m not against rice or pasta but kibble should be avoided at all costs.

Yes this applies to any animal, use a water butt and purify the water as best you can. -

Fluoride has no positive effects on the teeth its simply the Governments selling point. Providing your dog is given the correct nutrients it won’t have an issue with its teeth. -

I have to disagree with you. Have a look into the independent studies into the long term effects of fluoride and chemicals in the water supply. -
You have to ensure the correct amount of food is given and add a small amount of veg to the diet, green beans are my preference and add lard in the winter, if the the dog is struggling adjust the ratio slightly and the amount accordingly. Giving the dog a small handful of fruit can also work. Raw fed dogs out compete kibble fed dogs providing its done correctly. With a sport such as sprinting the effects of a pure raw diet will be less obvious than with a coursing saluki as the diet will make the difference

I don’t do this myself but adding a tiny dash of celtic salt to the dogs meal or water bowl would be a good idea. I’ll give a go. -
It will likely cause the same problem as if the dog has not passed the meal from the previous evening then it will have the kibble in it’s stomach

I’m talking about kibble

Yes mate bottled water is much better -
It will push the bone through the dog undigested as the pet food expands in the dogs stomach
-
If you feed raw you should remove the kibble. If you aren’t removing the kibble then the dog isn’t on a raw diet. To transition to raw just stop feeding the dog kibble, don’t transition to raw slowly as this is not suitable for the dog’s stomach as the pet food moves through the dog at a different pace to the raw food, so never mix it. It’s possible to avoid calcium supplement once the dog is eating bone once you know what you’re doing but before its eating bone it will likely be deficient in calcium. You wouldn’t feed an athlete shit food and expect them to live a healthy life and p

Yeah dogs are smart they know not to drink tap water unless its their only choice. It you’re close to a river collect water from a fast flowing section providing its clear enough. I’d recommend a filter mate. -
My lurcher is a Beddy whippet grey she’s small so she doesn’t need much but like you say in the winter increase the amount and add a little lard to increase fat content. You could also increase the fat content of the beef mince in the winter so a higher % fat content, I don’t buy the highest fat content one (25%) anymore, I have used that in the past but the dogs seem to prefer around 15% fat as its leaner and better quality. I’d just eyeball the amount of food so with a good amount of exercise the dog is lean but not too skinny as the dog will lose fitness and in extreme cases leads to a real

In my opinion its bad practice to give your dog tap water to drink. The fluoride in the water is harming the health of your dog. I use filtered water from an Osmio Clarity water filter. Even river water that is clear enough is preferable to tap water.

I do it as it gets them into routine straight away and its more natural and better for the stomach. For the pup it doesn’t matter too much until they get to about 6 month when they develop their adult teeth so they can chew bone but I feed once per day from the day I get the pup as its more of a personal preference but either way you can’t go wrong mate. When the pup is old enough to eat a chicken leg then its time to feed it once per day as you need to allow the dog time to digest their food. Give your dog a cod liver capsule and add a teaspoon of raw honey a couple of times a week t
