hi peeps would just like to say a big thank you to all the people on here that have tried to help me out with finding a new dog for the coming season.As some might know its not been an easy last 18 months for me but im on the rise again,new job,cottage and mrs lol looking forward to a good seasons hunting and writing a few posts too. p.s new dog arrives saturday (fingers crossed)

check out lurcher mania (1 i think) theres a 29" dog on there taking rabbits as good as the smaller ones.

i was out walking my pup and found few squatters for him to run,missed first,then nailed second,his first rabbit i might add..

Iam sure we all have different veiws on dogs jumping fences,barbed wire etc me personally love to see a dog clear a 5 bar gate,fence etc just wondered how you guys/girls feel about it? or do you prefer to lift them over all obstacles? i started my pup jumping 6" boards at side of house at 9 weeks old,now 8 months and clearing 4 foot with ease.

cheers lennard . yes he does now,had no real intention of starting him yet,just wanted him to see a few first,but them squatters were in tight and i couldnt resist letting him have couple of small runs.

took my pup out lastnite just for a walk really,but had small lamp incase,walked few fields not much about and them that were out were to far away,last 2 fields normally empty,saw 5 bunnies running and 2 squatters..perfect i thought so ran the slip through collar,first rabbit ran and he gave chase but lost it in hedge,lamp off dog straight back to me,slip back on and walked up to other one,up it got and zak caught it within 30 feet,knocked lamp off and he brought it back live to hand..perfect didnt get picture as i did n`t take camera, wasnt expecting to need it.

I have a good friend from up that area,that wants someone to show her the basics on lamping,she has own permission and dog,just needing help in what to do. i have explained but easier if shown i can vouch that she is a sound person.
