  1. I’ve read that carbon fibre bottles have a lifespan of 15 years. Does that mean that if you have a rifle with one of these fitted, you have to replace the buddy bottle after 15 years? Looks like they’re around £300 for a carbon fibre buddy bottle, not an expense that you’d want really. Does anybody here know what the situation is regarding these, are they unsafe to use after 15 years?

Not a clue mate have a look on YouTube an old boy in America called chief aj hunts wild boar with one and claims to have shot a grizzly with it as well, would say you would drop a deer from up a tree in a survival situation ?

Plinking ‘eck, I wouldn’t like to face a grizzly armed only with one of those. Maybe he’d been on the moonshine??

Air guns look to much like a firearm and will draw you unwanted attention were as I can go shooting with my catty in the local park or city centre and as long as I’m discreet it’s not a problem, these are very easy to convert to arrows, get a cheap whisker biscuit of eBay and take out a screw on the Barnet and pop on the biscuit simples ??

Any idea of arrow speed that these can generate?

I,ve tied the Barnet , Diablo/wrist rockets/black widows and they are all very usable with flats on, it’s the tubes they come with that make them a struggle unless you have arms like Popeye ?

I had a wrist rocket in the seventies, subsequent catapults have never seemed as powerful, or am I just seeing it through rose tinted glasses? I’ve never used the flat bands though, only tubes. Are the flats such as tbg more powerful?

i have used wasps for a while now

they are good value for money and tough

i bought a few and use them to experiment with different type of bands etc

if you have a few wasps all banded up differently it is easy to see the differences .

then when you decide on a bandset you can band up 2 or 3 the same and not worry about any breakages when you are out using them

they are also of a size that you can fit a few in your pocket

Which bands would you recommend for the wasp?
