I recon some ejit threw an Afghan in the mix early on.
Surely in a bygone era. The Afghan hound was a dog with a purpose. Otherwise they wouldn't have been formed . Who's to say there sint a strain still being worked out there and we are doing the animal's a disservice. Look at the early saluki hybrids here in the early 80s to now . Things change , so much so that the arabs came back to the uk to help their lines out . Their lack of wisdom is our gain . Especially wiping out most prey that they ran . Jmho

I see a young lad proud of his young hound, then looking beyond the initial glance I see a leggy sapling with plenty of bone in its feet. A saluki, galgo mix.
Never judge a book by its cover

It would be nice if someone local could even loan this young lad a seasoned ferret . Get the ball rolling so to speak . And lewis , with every mistake and blank . Your still learning something. Trial and error young man . And as has been said . You will be on top of the world when all your efforts come good

I actually take more pleasure in catching a few from different areas and reintroducing them in other areas late January. Then watching their progress . I personally get more enjoyment in that than nutting them . Just keeping a few for pot

Lovely litter buddy . As for dew claws. It's all opinions until a dogs standing lame with a dew claw pointing wrong way . That's why some would walk away . Some never have a problem. Again , it's also dependent on terrain etc . Regardless. Atb with the litter

Personally I wouldn't use bone radiol until swelling is completely down pal . As someone said . Freezing water till the dog cant take any more . Few times a day . Once theres no heat or swelling on the injury, then the bone radiol comes into it's own. Please dilute it as it can blister . Good luck

Be from GA that king they do all that gear with the individual company's own label or bags but it's produced at ga
As you know prince . Its expensive at £40 quid a bag . The difference I notice is . When soaking it , I only soak for 15 mins . It doesn't swell up like marshmallows. And stays relatively at the same consistency ( more palatable) . And secondly, I feed less off it . 1lb red meat mixed . In to up the protein, a full chicken leg in morning for breakfast during season. I dont use supplements as you know

A young 23 year old took a chance on this . His uncle is known to a lot of Scottish lads in the dog game . He put the lad up for the post . Might I say what a great lad . Learning fast . Has hardly had to shovel shit lol . Hes ready to start his qualifications etc . But what an honest hard working lad who took a chance leaving his old job and in a few year could be a technician in Australia if he still fancies that . Nice to see a lad take an opportunity and good to see a success story

I think most novice lurcher men learn more off their first dog than a hundred books . We learn from mistakes. Well we should do . My first was a collie, grey x whippet. Caught some gear . But missed loads down to my inexperience. My advice is wait until something catches you eye , rear it like any of your other dogs but implementing field work training. Maybe get someone local to oblige a day or 2 out . Point you in right direction. Off you go . Best a luck

My first sal x was out tor o dartmoor. Was amazing watching her in the early 90s run the arable. Was bred to a coursing grey . But she fell to the sal . Great memories
