There is the argument many nations standards are much higher than ours re morals ect.

They still follow the rules of family and Church ' and that changing in this country has nothing at all to do with immigration.

    Shut up

Interesting point mate. At the begining of this thread it was obvious this was a terroist attack & people had been hurt,, but the piss taking & laughter started straight away, obviously not about the actual incident, but none the less. You & me laughed along knowing their could be casualties.

Would we of done that a couple of years ago? Are we becoming desensitised? Tragic if we have....

I know mate, just could of been said at another time.......but yes I agree people in general are definitely getting desensitised......there will even be folk calling for the police officer to sacked soon I’m sure. When the mayor of London calls it part and parcel of living in a big city it doesn’t install much hope

i read in a book not sure if it was  fowlers autobiography that he did`nt  get on with  houllier and was`nt getting enough first team football --- once at leeds he did`nt want to leave and join man city but at the time leeds were a sinking ship ...  did he not rejoin liverpool later on  for a couple of seasons ?  i read these books and enjoy them at the time but can i fook remember what i`ve read ...

Yes mate.....the city game I’m on about was in his second spell after we had brought him back from city.....the whole of anfield was in its feet and even the city fans gave him a cheer.....houllier had just done good things with France and was thought of as one of the best managers around at the time and when he came to anfield he changed something that didn’t need changing as much as did.

klopp has embraced himself in Liverpool’s history and wants to be as big a part of it as shankly himself.....I honestly think they will have to carry him out in a box before he will leave on his accord as he loves the place so much.

And not just with Liverpool......when he left Mainz and Dortmund fans/players/the board etc were all devastated and crying their eyes out! It’s what he does and who he is and that’s what makes him special imo......look how a manager like mourinho can just leave united like he has never been there lol

only time will tell but it’s a pretty good journey so far and i for one am loving it regardless of if he wins trophy’s or not because it’s clear to see what he can do and what he is building!

  5. I’ve always supported liverpool, from a kid till now.....I’ve only been to anfield about 8 times tho so certainly no hardcore fan lol

The second game I ever went to was just after Fowler returned against Man City and when he came on as sub was a moment I’ll never ever forget......anfield absolutely f***ing erupted!!

When he got sold to Leeds it was a shitter for everyone, no one could understand why or how such a player was allowed to just walk out the door to Leeds......it got so bad for him that he even wanted to leave and it did hurt all the fans imo.......especially when it was f***ing heskey who took his place!

The thing about Robbie was, great as he undoubtedly was ,he wasn't a natural athlete ..still God though

Very true mate......my hero growing up tbh so I’m probably a bit blinkered lol but I like to think he could of forced his way into klopps squad at least with the right help/guidance

Mate, I can almost guarantee that Fowler and most players of that era couldn’t have handled the pace of Liverpool and City’s game today.

    Different times mate.

Id of took him over origi tho mate lol

The whole spice boys turn out wouldn’t even get in a Klopp side I’m willing to bet.....I reckon a coach like Klopp is too professional for all that pissing about.

True mate........but he would of loved Fowler imo

Interesting post as that is i disagree with all that Robbie Fowler " he,s Liverpool through and through "....and " Scouse as Scouse can be " stuff....so what !.....managers shouldnt and cant go by the same sentimentality that us fans do we are currently having the same thing now at my club Mark Nobles time is up but he,s a club " legend " so is the first name on the team sheet...but he,s holding this side back....Fowler was a great player but if he wasnt doing the business at the time then it was right to move him on.

Thing is mate, Fowler was still doing the business.......him and houllier fell out and Fowler left over all that more than football reasons.......it seemed like the club was selling out to houllier and his new European ways and got them nowhere.......imagine a young hungry Fowler playing under klopp at anfield now......he would take him under his wing and make him feel on top of the world not ship him off to Leeds at 26 and in his prime!

  10. Would anyone disagree that klopp is already an anfield legend??

Klopp is the tenth manager since king kenny won the last league title at anfield 30 years ago this year.......30 f***ing years......how mad is that, I was only 7 lol

For years liverpool fans have been saying “next year”.......some of the top footballing and managerial talent have come and gone but still the hard fact remained that no matter what other trophies they won, the massive monkey of the the league trophy always alluded them one way or the other........While klopp hasn’t won it yet, there can be no doubting from anyone that he is creating something special at anfield and anyone would love him at there club imo......Whether United/Everton fans admit that is a different matter lol

After Kenny they had souness and Roy Evans but for me when it all started to change was when Evans and houllier were made joint manages and then straight just houllier who built of good steady team of grafters and won quite a few trophies but he made the biggest mistake EVER in selling Robbie Fowler.......Fowler was liverpool through and through.....As scouse as scouse can be and a direct link between the players on the pitch and the crowd.......He was the last of the old boot room and once out the way houllier could get to work changing the liverpool way to his way. Then Benitez came along......performed miracles in the champions league, but no premier league and ran the place like a strict head teacher that would be straight on at players on what they did wrong two mins after winning the champions league!

Unbelievably Roy hodgson pitched up next and least said about that debacle the better, brief return from Kenny then onto Rodgers who did well and barring the famous slippy g moment might well of delivered the much needed title......however it wasn’t to be although he is proving he is a top manager now.

Then we come to klopp......a man who is respected by everyone in football at all levels.....he knows full well that without the crowd behind him 110% he may aswell not bother as it’s just fighting a losing battle.....he knows and understands how much anfield needs a league title after such a long time. It’s not a matter of if now it’s when and no one can’t deny it. I don’t mind admitting liverpool are lucky b*****ds to have him, he could of wrote his own pay cheque at the likes of Chelsea/Madrid’s etc but chose liverpool because of its history and he is desperate to be written into anfield folklore as the man who finally delivered the premier league to anfield.

Still a long way to go and there’s 4 teams potentially in with a shout now instead of just city so there’s added pressure there.......if he does f**k it up now tho he will get another couple of go I’m sure........how could you let him leave and build his dream team elsewhere when he has got many years ahead of him......especially with that smile bless him lol

Just pay him well, buy him the players he wants and he will take care of the rest

None of those types are any good. They are total rubish because they are soo slooow.  I got one of the son in laws one of these. Now theses are a different ball game. The impact is lightning fast and will split a round that you cant get your arms around and it takes two people to lift onto the rack.  He and his 10 year or girl, who operated the levers split 4 big sand bags of logs in a short day. The 8.5 ton impact ram operates back and forth as fast as you Can cycle the levers.  Keep hands ect out of the way !!

Depends what you use it for mate......for 4 big sand bags in a day then yes you would need something bigger.......for an old boy to take the stress off his back by using an axe for small stuff the £300 one is sound imo.....that one does look good tho and I guess if you can afford the extra money then it would be worth it ?

  12. I used one of these little electric logmasters at a customers house the other day.......must admit I was shocked at how good it was......obviously your not going to split four foot rounds of solid oak with it but for the amount of little awkward stuff it will stop you having to split with an axe I imagine it would be worth it’s weight in gold to someone with a log fire.......splitting logs all day is hard work for anyone.......while this won’t do the big stuff it will speed up all the small stuff, which means less time on the axe and it’s easy to move about.

Had one on hire at work recently, controls all seem in the wrong place and all curved surfaces, nowhere to put a brew! Ran well and good on juice, 66 plate.

    Cheers, D.

Lol nowhere to put a brew is exactly what’s putting me off the citan! I went to look at one the other day......low mileage, right price etc but that stupid L shaped handbrake literally makes it impossible to get your cup out the small hole that’s there for it! I must drink 12 cups a day while out working so it’s essential I have somewhere to put them lol
