  1. When did he invite you out? Are most terrier men not finished or finishing up for the season?
  2. Sounds bit dodgy to me. If he comes to see the pup perhaps you could size him up a bit better?

  7. If he is any good he will sell you bottle and valve, if you have any problems the Midlanddiving.com is about the biggest supplier of bottles and valves for air rifles, they always used to do mail order as well.....I haven't spoken to them for years though so you will need to check it out. Thanks I will give him a ring first thing see what he can do
  8. You need a licence for all air rifles in Ireland will the dealer sell me a valve for the bottle or can he at least order me one? Thanks Deker
  9. I will tell him to look out for a bottle then . What size would you recommend? :hmm:for 40-50 shots a week Roughly how often will it need filled and tested? Sorry about all the questions but want to get this sorted soon as so I can get my licence
  10. Now I'm not sure on this one but if that was the case we would all be doing it....my understanding is that a compressor to give you 185 - 220 bar (most 12ft lb Air rifles are in that range and Daystate near the top of it), would cost a fortune, far more than a bottle....the charging equipment at my local dive centre came to more than £10,000. You do of course also need dry air, many compressors will not deliver that. Buying used bottles should not be any problem because of test requirement but remember you need an air rifle valve on it not a dive valve. Thought it sounded too easy
  11. Just of the phone with my uncle and he said he could get me a bottle on the cheap no probs if I wanted one but asked "why not just use a compressor?". Can you use a compressor to fill an airgun? if so im sett and if not I can get a bottle Thanks
  12. Decided to go for a PCP and do some research but the s200 is in pole position at the moment. Just found out my uncles mate is a professional diver so going to see if he can sort out a tank for me or will a dealer be able to sort that? What sort of tank should I go for?Does it depend on the gun Air rifles are a whole different world to what im used to Thanks everyone
  13. Im thinking PCP is the future? Although all that dive bottle and pump lark What about the AA S200 mk2? How much would I pay for an Air Arms S200 pre charged with a magazine kit, moderator and scope Is the pump manual or what?
  14. air arms s410 i just bought one after doing some home work.great gun but bit pricey Just searched it, nice gun but not much change from £500 one day perhaps but not now
  15. What are the pros and cons of "springers" and precharged???
  16. Been toying with the idea of getting an air rifle for general pest control for a while now and with crimbo coming I have decided to go for it . First of all in Ireland you need a licence for every air gun unlike England? Secondly what cal? from browsing on here I was thinking .22, are they suitable for everything-rats, rabbits, crows etc.. I like the look of the pre charged guns but not too sure whats involved with them :hmm:I have a budget of roughly £300-£400 and would prefere new to second hand . So girls and guys stick up a few makes and models with prices and I will E-mail my dealer for

    Alsations

My Dad was talking to the farmer today and he said he hadnt even noticed them missing but on hearing what had happend he was very apologetic and insisted this was the first time anything like this had happend. These dogs share kennels with his sheep dogs, play with his kids and never leave the yard when loose or so he said. We have decided not to report him or the dogs anyway. Just hope he takes better care in the future . Now that we are talking about the breed, does anyone use them for hunting/shooting? They are athletic and smart so they could probably be of some use, with the correc tra

    Alsations

Yea it was quite frightening bit shook myself. Was talking to my dad and he thinks he knows who owns them and if they are the same dogs then they are guard dogs that got loose, local farmer has them for watching his sheds and tractors. Now I think of it they would have been heading that direction when they ran away. Might get my dad to have a word with him as hes a sound enough fella instead of reporting him? Although if they had attacked an old persons dog or a horse and rider things could have been worse. Not sure what to do now The GWP is sleeping infront of the fire as if nothing happe

    Alsations

Was sitting in the house watching the T.V when I heard this terrible howling and growling outside, raced out and 2 alsations had my 9 year old lab and were giving her a proper hammering I ran towards them and 1 backed of but the other 1 kept going. I started battering them both and booting them but the fuckers wouldnt stop and kept trying to get at my dog, I was starting to panick they would kill her when next thing my 3year old GWP waded in and started dishing it out . So now theres me, my lab and my GWP having a full on scrap in my garden with 2 alsations, eventually they jumped the fence a
  20. if you were to park in ardee on a sunday morning with a dog trailer on youll not be long finding out. Plenty of trailers parked around here at the weekend, mostly northern cars. Friendly enough boys if you bump into them when out shooting but I'd say if a ranger started hastling them he'd get a swift
