I'm not running down the beagle... In fact they are a great little animal with a better nose than a harrier an can hunt any day of the year wth minimum scent...the question was asked about foxes going to ground...I seen 1st hand a top class pack of beagles with 15 couple hunting day in day out hunting the same fox for anywhere between 2 an 3 hours with no conclusion as there was no pressure on... Obviously would mark some after short hunts but numbers would be small in a season...I hav seen pack of harriers in same country who find it hard to get anything over an hour as foxes can't stick the

Ye sure must have.... But it also helps when u hav a lurcher up his hole

Some foxes are useless an will go to ground easily no matter what is behind it... But a good fox in the habit of being hunted will just tip away at his own pace all day in front of beagles an won't go to ground

Poor pack hounds.... Had a very good hound man 2 seasons ago and were decent... Might be only 4 day week pack in Ireland but if they thought anything of there hounds or cared about the hunting end of things they would not have given the job to such a young man with so little experience.... Truth is they went down hill rapid since he took over...voice gone an very soft with wire....

That was exactly what came to my mind when I saw it too... A lot cheaper than other sites an I don't no anybody who bought off them... Maybe somebody could enlighten us with there experience whether it is good or bad
