Just a wee bit more control would be nice he's had success workin a line and workin it for 4 or 5 feilds it's justly don't know who's around with a gun and won't end well of am not there. It's not callin off when he's sighted it's the workin a line miles away that's a bugger.

That's what he's like recall on lamps fine just durin the day on a mooch he's off even if the quarry is not sighted, through cover the lot.

What's the best way to call off a scent or work closer to me, AV got a young dog here 13 month and sometimes if he gets a the scent off something in the woods or afew feilds away he's off which can be a pain if he hunts them up and gets a chase where am not really meant to be or near houses/cottages.

Took the chance to get out with the young dog (13 month old) last night, just to a spot near me. It's only his second time out and he done well the first time getting 3 runs and 3 rabbits in the bag. There wasn't as much out this time as far as easy slips where concerned but managed 2 runs and 1 caught, he's also starting to look down the beam most off the time but still allot to learn and taking it steady. He's my first lurcher as av only had whippets and the running style and technique are allot different him standing at 26tts collie/saluki/grey obviously they will be just goin to keep gett

Do they no get used to it or just the shits for weeks til you change, greyhound trainer near me uses gain so getting that's not a problem if it doesn't agree wi him.
