Thanks for your help,I decided to go for the Weihrauch and it seems to be the right decision. A much quieter shot creating much less disturbance,just what I had asked for.

I recently bought a Walther Rotec 177,it has proved to be very accurate and although a little heavy it is a nice gun to use.Unfortunately it is not quiet,in fact it is definitely noisy,it almost cracks like a rimfire .22,there is no chance of getting a second shot off with this gun.Can anyone recomend a silencer to help with this problem ? The barrel is threaded to 1/2 inch UNF. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Many thanks for posting your "permission papers" ,as a new member and a late returnee to Air Rifles,any help in finding some land to shoot on is very much appreciated .
