  1. Looks good Mac, I need to look at my grouping size from longer distances and also work out my fall of shot with the graticules on the scope. What time are you thinking of heading up?
  2. I've not got any wet weather kit at the moment, is it a covered firing point Pop eye?
  3. Well first time at the range this evening with the new rifle, I think it went pretty well, however there are a few things I'd like to have a look at. The first thing I'd like to try and do is change the trigger pressure, I'm used to shooting 5.56mm and 7.62, it felt a little to light for me. Secondly I think I need to bring my sights down 1 click as I feel it's slightly high, however I wondered what your thoughts were about this especially when shooting at longer distances. I've tried to attach a picture of the target, I know it's not brilliant, however it will get better, hopefully. This is
  4. Evening everybody thanks for your welcomes, I'm having real issues posting anything. It keeps saying I have to have my posts approve, however none of them are being approved? I've checked the rules and policies on posting, my posts aren't breaking any of them but they're still not opening up?
  5. Is this the same Rez who likes going fast on motorcycles????
  6. Rez I don't suppose you used to be on Gixerjunkies did you?
  7. BigMac, it would be Saturday afternoon for Steve Smiths. Not to sure of time though, you can't miss me I'll be the fat fecker who you'd think he's never been in the Army hahahaha
  8. Thank you for the great replies fellas, I totally understand about getting to know people first, I wouldn't just invite strangers to and shoot with me either. My local range is War at Washington, I met the owner; Ian on Sunday he gave me some good advice and seems like a straight shooter, no pun intended! I saw Steve's Shooting Ground Website but didn't know if they had a specific zeroing range? I'd like to work on my grouping at specific distances for fall if shot etc. Thanks again fellas for your replies, it's good to see there's some banter on here as well ??
  9. Evening everyone, I posted an introduction last night in the new members section and thought I should say hi in the air gun section as this is where I think my main interest lies. I am completely new to the shooting/hunting scene, however I do have a wealth of knowledge around shooting and the safety aspects of weapons as I spent a lot of years in the infantry. I have purchased a .22 BSA R10 and my intention is to use the local range to get some zeroing done this weekend. I do enjoy target shooting especially when it's nice and warm indoors, however I think my true passion is hunting. I'm
  10. Thank you for the great welcome fellas, looking forward to the sharp learning curve ??
  11. Evening everyone, I just thought I would introduce myself and say hello. I'm completely new to hunting, however not to rifle shooting in general. I live in Jarrow which is just outside Newcastle Upon Tyne, I have recently purchased a BSA .22 R10 Air Rifle and am extremely keen to learn as much as I can. I spent 26 years in the infantry and for the last four years struggled trying to adapt to civilian life, however shooting is helping me massively. I am currently shooting at local ranges, however my real aim is pitting myself against vermin and game, not just the shooting but stalking as well
