  1. I have a pair of Meindl dovre extreme boots that I bought off the internet in July 2010. The boots were only worn out shooting at the weekends during shooting season, they were kept clean and waxed and they don't show much wear and tear on the soles. They are now out of warranty. Thing is they have cracked just where the leather meets the rubber at the toe joint of my right foot. I brought them to a meindl dealer who said they wouldn't be repairable, however they said that I should send them direct to the Meindl supplier in the UK. The shop also said Meindl are good to deal with customer

  3. Heres a little vid of my GWP hunting. and another of her retrievong
  4. I think its more because these dogs are jealously guarded by German breeders. They do not export them freely to just anyone. This is because they have very high breeding standards and only breed the best dogs. I read an article on the Irish Shooters Digest about someone here in Ireland who got one but had to do so through a German friend who imported him
  5. Hello Mr Deeks

    Fancy seeing you here.

    xxxxsuzy

  6. Don't I know you from somewhere?
  7. Yes, it does sound like you have done waaaaaaaay too much retrieving. You need to stop for a while. then start again. Get an old smelly sock and in your hallway make the dog sit. Get his attention wave the sock in front of him get him to play with it, to try to take it out of your hand. try this for a couple of nights until he gets used to playing with you. When he's all excited about it throw it in front of him and encourage him to go fetch, don't hold him just let him go. Encourage him with 'Go fetch boy, good boy etc, etc,... When he picks it up call him back to you, all exc
  8. This is my dog run, its 6ft X 17 ft, its still not finished am going to put a corrugated roof. on it when I get a chance, the kennel is 4ft X 3Ft, but I'm hoping to build a concrete kennel with a second floor and a side door just to make it easy to clean
  9. HE IS'NT WHISLE TRAINED ALL COMMANDS ARE VERBAL AND HAND IBELIVE HE IS ABOUT 4YRS. Well if the dog is trained as you said all you need to do now is to go out and try him in the field, try having someone experienced who works dog take him out, and get there opinion on him.
  10. how old is the dog and is he whistle trained? it seems as if you are already nearly there with him.
  11. Great pictures and what a beautiful looking GWP's, the dog in the back of the truck is it just a pup? I've got one aswell she's only a year old!
