  1. Hey Mac Just been looking for Maxwell but found four different ones. Do you know his actual forum name?? Thanks mate
  2. Bloody hell Mac. I thought my 450 acres was big. You must need a bloomin gps for your perms. Let me know if you see Lord Lucan next time you are out lol. Gold finger, thanks for the advice. You are correct, I have been thinning out what I carry around but I am a little on the porky side and need the exercise, mind you, there are limits lol.
  3. Hi Dave Earning ton is about 20 mins from me. I am in Acocks Green so not far. I shoot down at the Solihull Pistol and Rifle club and nearly a full member. Hopefully will be putting in for my FAC in a few weeks time. I was looking at the Yukon tracker as a head set but did not really think of a monocular. That's got me thinking, especially after Macs comments ( thanks btw Mac). I guess I need to get and try some of these things out and make a decision from there. Where do you guys shoot?
  4. Hi Jon Thanks for the welcome. The scope has not been used in anger yet just at the club where I shoot of an evening but is so well made and works just as well. I do need to look at an additional IR for it as the built in one is a bit low on power. I did look at chair gun but have to say, found it a little, complicated to understand. So many abbreviations to work out!!! I think the mass pellets think is going to work the best and also look at what other shooters use. I have already found that Diabolo Field and JSB Exacts work well but still have some other popular makes to try. Ch
  5. Hi and thanks for the advice. You could be right my friend as there have been a lot of views on the post and no replies. I am now thinking that everyone who viewed the post also thinks they are a wate of time but can't be asked to say so!!! So huge thanks for your views. I do indeed need a second ir illuminator as the first one fitted to the pulsar is a bit low on power and versatility. That will be my next post asking for advice. I will take a look at what you use first. Thanks again for your suggestions.
  6. Hi Rookie Lovely mods mate and obviously bespoke for your needs. It's great to see items actually being made rather than looking for standard stuff from the local store and making do. A testimony to great skills. Well done my friend.
  7. Hi Fellas Can you guys help me with choosing a respectable pair of NV Goggles? I have a 450 acre golf course for a permission and as you can imagine, walking around at nite is pitch black. I have a Pulsar 850 night site to fit to the gun but need something to aid walking around so head mounted is a must. My problem is the confusion between the models available and lack of non biased reviews on the web. I am only looking at gen 1 or digital due to budget but really need some guidance from real users. Thanks for your comments guys
  8. Just joined and wanted to say hi. I'm taking up the sport a little later on in life and at 58 have discovered something amazing. I have joined a local club and managed to get a permission all in 6 months so feel blessed. Currently using a Hatsan Gladius in .22 with a Falcon T50. Admittedly it's a little heavy but is blisteringly accurate. I am sticking to quarry at 20-25m distance at the moment which is where I am confident of a clean kill. However, I need advice on correct hold over calculation for longer distances. How to do this in very plain English is what I need as I am not an exp
