  2. thankyou all for some very useful comments it has given me a lot to think about .i have taken her out loads in the past couple of days and she is great but her prey drive is very strong and i am a bit worried she might just f**k off and not come back to be honest and the nephew is not that good wi dogs .i actually started thinking of her for myself(he can find his own dog!!!)but if she turns out shit it would be another hungry mouth in my kennels and the rest of them are good workers so its food for thought and i have a month or so to think about it as i still have my mates bull x's til he co
  3. hate to say it bud but i have tried using one while i was ferreting with my nephew and his mate but it ended up getting chucked in the bottom of the bag and the good old grey box came out (which are miles better at pinpointing).the best thing i can suggest is to ring deben as they are very very helpful and will explain exactly how to use it to maximum effect.some people swear by them but a lot swear at them .best of luck
  4. alright guys i am havin a few problems and wondered if someone could shed some light on it.i have just got a mk1 grey box with ferret collar for my nephew but cant seem to get any batteries to fit it (collar)i have tried lr44(357)in it but it only fits one battery in or wont screw shut and does not work so i tried the lr754 battery (393a)which does fit 2 in but that also does not work!where am i going wrong or is it just a funny collar?

  7. alright everyone.now this may open a can of worms but ... whilst having a look round a rescue centre our lass saw a lurcher (not how she described it -she said greyhound)so i nipped out of the car for a quick look and saw a good looking bull x which i was told had been a seizure from a shite house by a dog warden when it was 4 monthes old (it is now 2 ish).its a good looking dog and looks like it has a lot of potential but has not been rehomed cos it is difficult to manage .i know all the bad things about taking a dog from rescue as if it has ended up there its usually cos its shit but as it w

  11. hi this bitch is a good worker if not a little impetuous .there is generally no where she cant get in my woodland earths .she stands 14 ",not quite spannable and weighs 18.5 lbs of muscle .so as a few people have already said if your dog works in the situations you put it then who can tell you the size is wrong?!
  12. hi everybody .i hope everyone has a good season digging and running.mine is looking promising with a few charlies knocking about and a bit of new permission to work my new bitch who is coming on well (hopefully i have attached a pic but knowing me it wont have come out right)anyway hope our sport is not affected by the narrow minded few who would like to see it banned even though they know f**k all about the countryside but still feel the need to inflict their shite upon us.to all diggers ,lampers and running men good luck
