hi shes 14 month its only bean over the last 2 month that shes begun to shape up at a time there i was getting ready to give up but shes getting there now its mostly rough shooting i do and a bit o stalking shes right in there when i get a deer and has retrieved a nice bib dog fox, and has no prob with feather, but not shown any sign of pointing yet,

yes walk up is best i always get them at soakaways and boggy areas in the broadleaf woods any time of the day, i think woodcock are very easy shot, all the best any way.

hi all went out for a walk with the dogs today its 14 below where i am in central Scotland, went through sum woods to see it i could put sum woodcock up every 50 yards the pointer would bring back a dead rook she must have retrieved about 10 and along the side of the stubble fields there were a lot of weak birds as they could not get down to the old seed that was left from harvest, on saying that the pheasants were flying OK and i put up 2 woodcock, as they say up here its almost coled enough to were socks,

had her out with the spaniel and wont follow her ether, shes bean out at the pigeons and retrieved a good half doz and a mallard came in to to the field and she fetched it no prob, had here out with me stalking 2 week back and the buck i plugged she was right on it no prob so the game side is fine.

hi been feeding this pond about 5 weeks every 2nd day with 1 pail of wheat, the best i have seen was 20 mallards, i don't spend much time there as don't want to disturb it, sum days when feeding there's nothing there but the feeds always gone. just back from 1st evenings shoot at pond never came in to 45min after dark got 2 pair mallards well pleased.

when i put the dummy in to cover she tries every trick in the book to avoid nettles or brambles if that's where it is if there's no easy way in she will cum back without?

hi got an stirrup pump for sale never used so up for sale no name on it got it with brockock air cartridge gun, £30 +pp south of Glasgow. NTW.

cheers lads had her through the river 2 or 3 times the day went OK she will com on, shes not keen on going in to cover either i take it these dogs are slow to train, ?

hi my pointer pup is doing well in training but hates to go near water, had my spaniel is swimming around to try get here in chuck in dummies etc no chance any 1 help ?
