    There's a fella here near Belfast that breeds a line that started out in Texas and they are capable dogs. Those pups are the main reason I asked this question. I thought a cocker or a small springer might have saved me training a terrier but those dachshunds are a million miles from the normal types you see these days. Little dogs can hunt everything. I know how terriers work with lurchers but not much experience with spaniels. I want to hear from a few folks who use(d) spaniels with lurchers, even a night out with someone else's. Any info is appreciated, thank you.

    It has reached the time when I need a new bushing dog to pair with my Bedlington-Greyhound. Wondering if anyone has experience working a cocker or springer with a lurcher, rather than a terrier.

    Time for a new bushing/flushing dog to work with my Bedlington-Greyhound. Anyone use or previously used a non-terrier dog? Thinking along the lines of a cocker or springer.

    Hi there, I'm located in Belfast. Off work for a few days from this Thursday to Monday. Any chance I could get a chat with you before I make plans o head down? I was looking for a Bed-Whippet for rabbits and rats but I'd like to have a look at those dogs if that was OK. Not sure how to go about messaging on this site yet, still green.

    Hello everyone, I just joined your site after reading several threads and articles. All very interesting stuff, I am excited to have found this community. My previous experience has been a bit of everything other than driven shooting. My real interest lies in running my dogs at rabbits and rats. Currently have only two beagles (one is retired due to heart trouble) and a few ferrets as my lurcher (saluki/collie/grey) died but adding a Jack Russell soon and eventually, ideally, a Bedlington-Whippet which will better suit my needs.
