Tremo 138
I had one on my HW 100 and yes they do make the rifle lighter but mine was a leaking pain in the ass! +1. I had this experience also. I sent it back to the supplier and they said that it was fine. I re-tried it when I received it back and had just the problem. I then put the original back on and experienced no leak whatsoever. . Never got to the bottom of the problem either. Luck of the draw I guess. Yeah the idea of a leaky expensive mod isnt appealing! Did it ever get sorted out though or your money back? Nope. Every time it went back they replied that there wasn't a problem with it. It went back twice and twice it cost me £8-50. An expensive hobby eh? I sold the rifle not long after with the original cylinder back on it. Can't remember where the new cylinder ended up after this. About as far as I could throw it I guess! 2 Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
I have a HW100kt, it dont need a soft alloy after market cylinder that you cant take off without the cylinder dumping all its air, the rifle is perfectly balanced straight from the factory and i feel safer with a made by the factory stainless steel cylinder that can be taken off the rifle without loosing any air, makes it easier to service the rifle, as for selling the rifle, i will only buy an all original rifle with matching serial numbers, i wont touch any tampered with rifle, especially if it has some home made air cylinder on it, even if it has been tested, i dont find a HW100kt a heavy rifle, then again im not weak and feeble , only thing i have change is the barrel band, i bought a rowan floating barrel band, but that was just cos i had money to burn, it made no difference to accuracy, i dont know which looks best, floating or supported barrel, either way it dont matter i have a choice, i might get the gauge cover next, just to add a bit of protection, the trigger feels fine so until i have spare money to burn i wont bother with the metal versions of the trigger Yeah you have a very good point there mate, I think I was was enquiring because we all seem to want to better things but as you say in this case the rifle doesnt need it. Its not worth messing With it so I think il leave it as its not exactly heavy anyway. +1. Personally, if ever I was to get another I would use it in its original form. No need to fanny around with it mate unless the weight it is really causing you a problem. ATB 2 Quote Link to post
