ChrisJones 7,975
Given that the average new shooter only takes up the sport for about 6 months it's alot of guns that won't go through the classifieds and get passed around. They don't have to be banned but sensibly regulated. I agree on one point though. I can't see how it will effect the guns already in circulation.
pockets 0
Do you really believe more draconian regulation is the answer? Myself i think proper sentences for the f**kwits who abuse weapons maybe that might work....... Only my opinion mind!

Only my opinion mind! Doesn't have to be draconian. I don't think a ticketing system, and compulsory cabinet, would effect legitimate shooters much at all. If the current law was enforced properly I doubt we'd be having this discussion. But it ain't and common sense does always come near government targets. They will be tightening the screws... it's up to us to devise a way to stop it and if that means a slight compromise, based on safety and availability, then I'd accept that rather than see alot of younger, legitimate shooters, penalised for the acts of the criminal.
