elvolcan 0
I have a chance to buy a Leupold Rifleman 3-9x40 scope very cheap at the moment. Before I do I just wanted to ask how much they are worth. By looking on various internet sites, mainly in america - I think it is worth at least £150 , is this right? http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-riflem...ifle-scope.html http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=126505243 EDIT: Are they any good as well? I thought because its Leupold the optics would be excellent http://www.opticsplanet.com/msgboard/post-7679.html Thanks Edited May 4, 2009 by elvolcan Quote Link to post
Mr_Logic 5
I've not looked through one, but from what I hear it's a case of do not touch with a bargepole. Given that the Bushnell 3200 is similar money, they are much better and can be compared to VX-II glass, which is pretty decent. Quote Link to post
chalky 0
X40 will suit the lower profile well but it wont gather that much light in fading conditions. I,ve just gone for a MEOPTA 7X50 Ive been looking at all sorts over the weekend and wanted to step up from the kind of scope found on Air Rifle's, not that there is any thing wrong with air rifles as i have several myself but i,m gonna be looking at dropping Bunnys out to at least 150 YDS and wanted good quality optics, ive not gone for a 3-9X50 because i would have probably left it on X7 Magnification any way and i,m not too fussed about zooming in & out and besides it confuses me The high end stuff i will save for my HOWA .223 but i think i will get some good use from this sturdy scope: It has a steel body and good optics and should suit a budget gun like the CZ nicely, its bound to get knocked about a bit so i shall keep an eye on it.
