Rocky2 14
I started striping the hair on my lurcher the other day and all the hair comes out so that just the bare skin is left. I have striped my terriers before and not seen this so just want to know is it normal?
the_stig 6,614
i`ve just took one of my terriers right down with the clippers hes soft coated anyway grows a wooly as opposed to a tight jacket 3 - 6 weeks and he should have an half decent jacket back .. i keep on top of it then with a rake and then let it go oct time .. is yours soft coated ? sometimes soft coated dogs dont have a good undercoat on soft coated dogs maybe your best to just run the clippers through a take the soft top coat out .. Rocky2 14
he has a fairly rough coat but he doesnt seem to have much of an under coat. this is his second time he has been striped and the first time it wasn't this bad but i think i might just have to keep grooming him regularly to remove dead hairs. i last striped him about 4 months ago and havnt done anything since. Have any of you seen this before with dogs?
kash 1
i'd just go over him with a thinning knife see how it goes
