hily 380
when the oldest dog i work gets to 9 or 10 years old i start to think about its replacement I normaly breed my own pups or buy from people i know, but the young bitch i wanted to breed from died and no one i know seems to be having a litter this year So i am looking at adds for ess now i might get some stick from the sprocker springador etc . owners. But are addvertisers who state they have pedgree sprockers for sale and yes the sire and dam are kk reg. genuinly think the pups are pedigree or is it a way of getting new potential dog owners to buy.As for the prices asked ! £450/550 for x breeds and £400/£500 for ess as pets with full tails .then £300/350 for working dogs docked dew clawed and chipped. Is it that working dog buyers and sellers know what they are looking at and in most cases the seller would prefer all their pups to go to working homes and the buyers are mostly working lads whos budgets have to stretch to not only buying a pup but also training and providing the dog with somwhere to work ie on a shoot etc.Plus as in my case i am adding to my little team of dogs while still keeping my old retired dog.Am i to synical to think that a lot of people are trying to get on the gravy train of trendy x bred dogs that even the telly and other media are premoting even field sport mags have adds amoungst the gundogs for sale and i quote from the shooting times( labradoodle pups £750 each exellent gundogs) So in the years to come will we have to pay over the odds for a gun dog with a traceable blood line or will breeders decide its not worth having the pups kk reg and even not bother with tail docking and chipping.this would please the people who are against the kk club and also tail docking.RANT OVER BUT ONE MORE THING I AM NOT SAYING X BRED DOGS ARE NOT GOOD GUNDOGS I JUST LIKE THE ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIAL TO HAVE AND HUNT WITH..
