Brilliant mate,that is the post of the year,I really enjoyed that .All of the Mitchell matches and the Abu 506's and the rich ones with the 507's.Kenny Giles was a hell of an angler,and,I am pretty certain that I saw the 'Big Man' in the background,the one and only Kevin Ashurst.I was just getting into match fishing then,thanks for putting it up Chip,and,where/how did you come across it mate?

Only just found this. Brilliant, pity they don't have something like this nowadays. Remember the Ladbrooks on the Avon. And that North V's South match. I'd be 9 in 73. Look at the size of them rods, and the super smooth Coffee grinder Mitchells. Makes todays Shimano/Daiwa reels seem even better than they are.
