johnboy19 38
Hi all Although i don't have any permission (yet), im lucky that my back garden is about 4 acres and theres usually a good few woodies in the trees. Well i spent most of the day shooting paper targets, for something to do and making sure my scope was bang on (i've got a BSA Lightning XL Tactical) A bit later in the day, i went out to have another go at the targets, and by chance spotted two woodies landing in a tree, about 60 yards or so away. I managed to creep round the edge of my garden, hiding behind a tree thats fell over in the garden, and got about 15 yards away from them, and they moved to a tree about another 5 yards off. Raised the rifle and got it in the sites. As it was facing away from me, i aimed just below the neck. Bang, one shot and it was down. Was a bit weary that i may not be able to give a clean kill, but as i'd spent most of the day shooting targets and getting increasingly better results, thought i could pull it off, and did! The ferret won't go hungry tonight!! Cheers all, John Edited April 14, 2009 by johnboy19 Quote Link to post

Freddy Watts 1
Looks like your practice worked. Shows that paper punching is a good thing for everyone to do every now and again. Nice shooting hope the ferrets enjoy their meal. Freddy Quote Link to post
