Little Butch 16
I just rang one of the big Farmers round my way to see If I could get some Permission to Shoot Rabbits with the Air Rifle and He said to ring back later as He was spraying so couldn't talk, He also said that He'd have to speak to the Game Keeper. He seemed alright though and I'll see how It goes How hard was It for you lot to get Permission and would you say It was harder to get Permission for Shooting than Ferreting or Running the Dogs etc? Little Butch 16
Just rang Him and He was really keen on the Idea as He said there was far too many Rabbits about! He said that If I got It then I would have to tell Him every time I was going to go up there and be very specific about where I was going and what I was Shooting. I think this Is because of the Pheasants they're Rearing? But anyway looks promising, He's gunna speak to the Gamekeeper and ring me before Friday. Butch

Little Butch 16
Cheers Buster! If I get Permission with the Air Rifle after a while I might ask about the 12 Bore, but only after He trusts me fully Butch
k9delboy 138
I personally think that rather than phone him, you should appear in person and meet him. I find that if you Dress neatly and have a friendly approach, then you will gain a lot more permission and once you get it then hopefully you will be invited onto neighbouring land. Good luck. Malt 379
Nice one Butch mate! I'd go there with the air rifle for a few months before you mention the 12g. Once he sees you are a competent sort of person, he'll be more likely to give you permission with the 12g.

welshshrek 0
Nice one mate, the first permission is always a memoriable (sorry about spelling) one, just remember always be polite and offer some of what you've taken if that fails give him a bottle of the good stuff as a thank you from time to time that way you'll be in his good books and therefore word will get around and you'll get more permission ... it's worked for me so far ...
