The thing is though pal, this is a site used by us- the airgun hunters, not the farmers and landowners. You've been given some top advise in this topic, so take heed of all of these things and have a little bit of patience and everything will work out

That farmer wasn't there but i'm off to speak to another one in Harpole in about one hour, i'll feed back if i get permission.

I have spoke to a farmers wife and she said that her husband is ill and to ring back at 5, i will keep you posted if i get permission or not.

Yaaaa, i now have permission to ferret on someone's land but still looking around for shooting.

offer the farmer some or all of your catch, and you will gain his trust and then he will probably let you shoot aswell.

 

if you havn't already get some insurance, and it will all work out for you................give it time.

Thanks Sean, i am going to get some insurance when i can afford it but i'm so happy i have finally ggot permission for something.

1 insurance like sacs or basc ect that way land owners no your covered

 

2 send some letters to a few farms ect ,

 

3 knock on some doors , dress smart no camo .

I realy do feel like giving up as i hav tried asking a feww farmers and they say sorry i already have pest controll.

 

I think you need to make it clear to the farmers/landowners that you're asking their permission to shoot, not offering pest control. Although in effect, you will be helping to control pests, it's not quite the same things as a full pest control service.

 

Okay, i'll try, but realy tbh. Who want's a 14 year old to shoot on their land?

The farmer spoke to me since tehn and said after i have earnt his trust i can shoot with my airgun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAA. But it will take around a year though

keep your chin up its something to look forward to and you will find once you have one permission others seem to pop up very quickley

How about offering farmers a hand with chores - they all need an extra pair of hands, and it's a great way for them to get to know you. Just a thought ......... from a farmer.......
