We have got plenty of them over my dads and this one was a good sized on to be fair for my first lol. So thats a big dog fox and a big mole all in one day Quote Link to post

Keep it up H Well the trap is reset and my step-mum is checking it at the mo dunno if i have got another one yet. I need to gets some more traps as well, can you recommend any? Quote Link to post
Holdaway 2 Posted April 12, 2009 Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 Personally I use Talpex, but a lot of guys swear by the duffus type, which can be got from the flatpack company. Talpex from killgerm (expensive) and fenns from JohnB on here. H Quote Link to post
IanB 0 Posted April 12, 2009 Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 Flatpack traps rule, I cannot complain at all, they are quality british made with decent steel and powerful springs... Also I'm using a talpex clone from the Magnum Trap co, which I can highly recommend, as used by Chalkwarren on the site also, does the business, do not be fooled into the chinese crap that looks VERY similar though, they couldn't half kill a field mouse OR cut through the soil.... H They do the exact same job, although a little easier to set with the handles, slightly weaker than a talpex but still plenty powerful enough to slice through and dispatch... A handy trap, but the duffus is still king of all Quote Link to post
Holdaway 2 Posted April 13, 2009 Report Share Posted April 13, 2009 One of these days I might give the duffus the trial it deserves. I only have three that I bought from the flatpack co, but because I have good success with the Talpex they are still in a bucket of earth! Strange thing today. There are three new mole hills right in the middle of a two acre paddock, but no hills leading into it. Of course this could happen a lot, I just maybe never noticed.
