Guest buster321c
Dont know if any of you read my post about finding the owner of a field near my permission , well it has a pumping station on one end of it and lots of rabbits . I rang the council , who , though very helpful , could not tell me the owner as the guy who i need to talk to is away till next week , typical !! The land reg are proving very hard to get hold of , as each time i ring , i end up in a que , so today i left a message and awaity a reply . But the water company , who own the pumping station , have been more than helpful . I rang them today on the off chance they would know who`s field it is , and it turns out they are in the process of trying to find out too . The lady i spoke to seemed a bit dismayed at the though of pest control with an air rifle , and went on to tell me how she had killed a mouse in a trap , but her father used to trap rabbits, and she can remember eating them as a child , and after a bit of a chat she said she would put me through to the local manager who might be able to help me more . Well that was at 3 ish and he was busy , i left a message with his secutary and she said , dont hold your breath type of thing he might not ring . I`ve just got off the phone to him . He rang and said he could`nt help me with the ownership of the field , but what type of pesting do i do ? I told him air rifle , and he seemed quite happy when i said it would do me, and my farmer a great favour if i could get to the rabbits , and i would do the ones at the pumping station free of charge if he would allow me . He though this was a fantastic idea , and is going to arrange for somebody to give me access , as and when i need it . He also said that there is another station about 6 miles away , that backs onto a railway track , that is ` over run with the buggers ` so if i could do them too he would really appreciate it . The first station is about 100yrs old in about 3 acres , with a house at the side ( boarded up ) and an old canal bank along the back of it . Im chuffed at this , what a result . Ive told him i will email a permission letter , and insurance details , and if he needs any thing else i`ll be glad to help . Now im a happy bunny , this has come as a surprise as i thought that the water company would not want me anywhere near their place , how wrong you can be !!! Sean , Grim , Davy , i know you lot are a bit on the articulate side so i might be asking you to write a covering letter for me , cheers for now guys , Buster Quote Link to post
