Hi there i am hoping that someone can give me some advice. I have a saluki x grey. She is an older bitch we had her out lamping last week and ona course she managed to run and skiffed her self off a fallen wall. (its hard to explain the way it happend). Brought her straight home checked her over she seemed fine just a bit sore. I have had her in the house since. She seems fine.

Right heres the problem she has came into season. I was wanting to breed her cause of her age i dont know how much longer she will be working and i dont want to leave it too long and miss the chance of keeping one of her pups.

so last night i brought my dog down and he trieed to mount her but when he tried this she yelped. i dont understand it as after this i checked her put a fair bit of pressure on her and she didnt make a sound. So the question is could it be that she yelped due to fright or something?

she has never had a litter.

Any adive i would be greatfull.

Thanks

doubt its anything to do with her knock whilst working, some bitches just dont like to be interfered with about there back end, i know if my bitch accidnetly gets a bumped on the back end by another dog she will let out a yelp, and its not through pain.

sounds like your going to have to hold her for the sire to line her.
