airgun magaziens only review airguns and advertise. they hardly ever have any hutning articles int hem!

i buy them both and fully wholly agree there should be a whale load more hunting stories and write ups and tips, tricks, methods etc,

 

far too much reviews

 

does anyone know of a mag that does more write ups. ??

Sometimes he writes stuff for the mags yeah, but the pillock also edits them (AGW mainly, but he has his fingers in the other one too ), and so therefore, only the things HE and his crones want in there get in to the final publication I reckon.

 

In answer to the OP's question, I used to regularly buy Air Gunner, in the days when it was a totally different crew editing it and putting it all together, but since the day when they came to be pressed by the same publisher, and now have the crew they have, I honestly haven't bothered at all with Air Gunner since.

 

To be completely honest, much much more info and help is available here anyway - and at a higher standard as well, to boot!

I like the game keeper diary in AGW though but there is way too many adverts in it, and quite a bit of junk.

I stopped reading Airgun World when I got to 16, but it still read like it was talking to a 12 year old. Also noticed nothing ever got a bad review. Even if a product is crap the worst they'll say about it is "good for the price".

i agree about 2 many reviews and adverts, but there not dedicated hunting mags, there general air gunning mags so have to cover as many bases as possible. they could cut out the adverts because the buyers are paying for the magazine so they dont need advertisers to pay for it.

Does anyone remember Sporting Air Rifle from years ago? That seemed to be much more real and far less up the advertisers and importers ar*es. Maybe that's why it didn't last so long. Hey-ho. Capitalism in action!

both mags are the same really, one covers somthing the other does it the following month.

 

i get sporting gun , shooting times and the countrymans weekly.

 

all "proper" hunting titles.
