MR POACH 2
went out last night with a mate , whos got some new night vision , we took the dogs and had a look around, the monocular was good and we could see a fair distance , but really we should have had a night out with it without any distractions, [dogs pulling to get to quarry] .... i must admit it was good to watch stuff and get up very close without hardly being noticed, Overall the night was a success , and we got my mates young dog started , i think weve got a few teething problems to sort out with the scope, but it looks like it could be a usefull aid in the near future , has any one else tried N.V with dogs ?? alimac 882
yep, and what a difference it makes, im all on permission so its not just for not being seen... it constantly amazes me how close you can get into stuff... a good nv set up will let you pick up (see)alot more stuff than with a plain old lamp... its been handy in getting extra permission from going out and catching lamp shy stuff that folk cant get near.....my only advise is buy one thats a little more than u can afford, gen 2 plus or above.... its alittle awkward with all the usual stuff you need to carry plus a ir filter, nv stuff etc, a extra pair of hands is helpfull Quote Link to post
