lee micheal kennels 12 Posted March 21, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2009 Were the Glen of Immal terriers not just a smaller version of the wheaten terriers used to handle quarry from a stop end to a dig before the days of the locator when terriers bayed up and held their quarry at range and often were dug too by ear and therfore not right on top, I understood it to be that they were never an earth dog made to travel from about ground to belowm as a fell or border. So they are probably not being worked any more and therefore working types would not exist. yeah smaller wheaten.. but were bred go to ground like most terriers with legs like that.. to run setts back when legal.. I was discussing the Glen last night with a friend that knows a greta deal more about strong dogs than myself, he thought that glens were now alot bigger than originally and this was due to crossing with wheaten terriers as the glens had become almost extinct. spot on seen a good few monster headed glenns but are all to wild and wud stick on dogs before work lot of weatons as ive seen like glenns have lot of staff blood put in. dont see the point Quote Link to post
