I think so my mate go,s to scotland to shoot foxes with his air rifle, Thats why they are F.A.C. I,ve seen normal pelets disintergrate as they come out the gun,that how powerfull they are.

35ftlb .22 will kill a fox at 30yds eye/ear shot, But having an FAC rated air rifle without a FAC carries the same penalty as having any other illegal firearm, so best approach is to get the ticket, then you can get a more suitable foxing tool.

This is just the sort of advice the antis love ! eye/ear shot my arse. Although you are spot on with the get a ticket and a more suitable foxing tool (.223 is best for most applications). Air rifles are not suitable for anything other than vermin / FAC or not.

an fac air rifle (40FTIB) would would be a useful tool for clearing fox snares i think. but obviously it would have to be a straight to head shot.
