Guest hyperion
got home from work today and took blaine straight out to try out the rabbit skin dummy i bought at the game fair yesterday......... i was wandering along the track through the woods to the farm thinking i really should get miss T to bring her hound out for a wander around here as her two would love it, when two roe bucks in full velvet bounded across less than twenty feet infront of me, err maybe we will stick to just mooching round the farm then! any how i got to the fields where i walk blaine and after throwing the dummy a few times decided to walk up the hedge line and have a look whats going on, loads of new digging by the rabbits and four more nests been dug out by foxes (paw prints and skat every where) blaine was showing load of interest in both the skat and the rabbit holes! moving on up into the top field we came to the abandonded padock and its maze of old barbed wire fencing, next thing i know blaines through the wire and having a mexican stand off with a bunny in the middle of the padock! the rabbits just sitting there looking at the dog and hes stood there with his tounge stuck out of the side of his mouth staring at it ears twitching this way and that and every now and then glancing at me as if to say "dad dad ive found one but what do i do now?" now i know hes got no chance hes still young and the padocks small with gorse and brambles on three sides, i hissed at him and the rabbit shot into the rough followed by blaine at a slow trot and after a few moments rummaging around i called him back, half way back he saw another rabbit on the other side of the fance that runs down the middle of the padock and was straight after it going through the barbed wire and catching his back and his back legs on it, as soon as he lost that rabbit he turned round and came back through the fence again hitting the wire once more and full tilt through the barbed wire of the fence seperating the padock from the field i was in! so now im in a full scale flap thinking my dogs going to look like hes had a fight with a cheese grater, the barbed wires twanging and bouncing around like mad where he hit it so i grabed him and started checking him over to find all the nasty cuts and scrapes, only i couldnt find any! i checked his back both with my hands and my eyes, nothing, rolled him on his back to check his chest, belly and legs and again nowt! ill never know how he didnt hurt him self but im so glad hes ok! think i might be poping up there with some wire cutters soon as the wire serves no purpose any more! cheers hyperion
Tyla 3,179
Thank your lucky stars mate! My bitch has hardly worked at all this season due to injuries, barbed wire, flinty ground and impaled her leg on a branch
