But I can say it is not as difficult as you might think, Go for the Lee anniversary kit to start you off about £-£90 + your dies in 308 or whatever about £20 powder, bullets, primers, if you have saved your own brass that’s about it Get a good reloading book the Lee book is good. Or if you don’t want to buy one there’s the library, or go the lee website you can download info there, also the Hodgdon web site is full of info + charts ETC There are better quality reloading kit than Lee that will probably last two lifetimes. bur nothing cheaper or as cheap. And as Lee says buy the lee stuff for yourself at a good price and let the next generation buy their own. I hope this helps a little. Ned Quote Link to post

lgray88 4
first purchase a decent book i started with the ABC'S of Reloading which did me well, once i was acustomed to the book and the process of reloading in theory, i bought the equipment i got a lee breech lock press but i never use the breech lock, the press came as a kit with everything needed to start other than the dies for your chosen caliber, you will also need a case length stud this is used to trim the case back to the factory size after resizeing , you can also get other types of case cutters but lee's is by far the simplest to begin with. id also purchase a decent flashhole cleaner and primer pocket cleaner too as the lee one i found wasnt the best, go for lyman or rcbs i have lyman one which seems good. also another good tool is the case cleaning machine , smartreloader do one for about 30 or 40 quid which works good you will also need the media to go in the case tumbler (its usually ground up walnut shells), i suggest you buy a decent set of dies preferably competition ones this will give the least amount of inaccuraices with your case overall length therefore keeping your POI consistent. if you have anymore questions feel free too pm me liam Edited March 18, 2009 by lgray88 Quote Link to post
