jaegervulpes 0
Decided to lay out on a bank 150 or so yards from the bottom of a pine woods, within 15 minutes of waiting charlie came sniffing about out the bottom of the wood, whilst he was preoccupied with smelling something in the short grass I thought I may as well have him, so that was that! Literally 10 or so minutes later another emerges from the same spot of the wood, goes straight to the deceased, sniffs him and doesn't bat an eyelid. Then he decides to walk down the bank, through the fence and start trotting at considerable speed towards me. I could see everything he was doing as I was up high on another bank, excellent vantage point. Decided to bark at him to stop him in his tracks as he obviously hadn't seen me yet, he stopped and looked up and again that was that, down he went. Waited half hour more till it got too dark, I packed up and headed back to the landrover which was parked 5 mins walk away up the hill, as I was walking still buzzing from the double kill, I looked up and the was another charlie stood 30 yards ahead of me, I knew I only had seconds before he bolted so luckily I still had 3 in the magazine of my Sako 75 Hunter .243, quickly reloaded and got a shot off free hand, I saw the round hit the dirt under him as he leaped into the hedgerow. Think I over compensated for the close proximity. Either way 2 out of 3 is not bad and the time lapsed between the first 2 shows that even without a silencer the quarry doesn't seem that bothered. Saying that I do plan to get it screw cut and a T8 on it or something. Rubbish pictures but hey! I only had my camera phone with me. Quote Link to post

jaegervulpes 0
that gun of yours sure makes a mess of them charlies It sure does, you know its not gonna get up again where ever you hit it though, I like that reassurance! The thing that does the damage is the Remmy Accutips I put through it, the polymer ballistic tip shatters at the slightest impact. Good stuff! Quote Link to post
