blackdug 90 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Share Posted March 7, 2009 one of my dogs slipped it,s lead and ran in front of a car today ,,not a lot wrong with the dog just a little cut on it,s leg but the cars bumber was broken a tiny little bit ,,were do i stand as for costs to the damage of the car as the driver is trying to get me to pay up and the bumper is a complete unit so looking at a costly price,,the dog is insured with tesco insurance but i don,t know if it is for injury,s or for damaged caused to others any advice would be welcomed,,thanks Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If not, there are quite a few firms who can plastic weld bumpers and repaint them, much cheaper than a replacement job. Have a look in your yellow pages for contacts. Unfortunately, you will be liable, so best to keep the bloke sweet and pay up. Just shop around and try to save a bit. Just be glad the dog is ok. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

If I was driver would be more concerned for dog not a bit of plastic. your pet insurance will cover it,Im sure. blackdug 90 Posted March 7, 2009 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2009 i tried to call the insurance but there 24 hour legal advice department is not opened ..what geoff said is what my mate also just said to me ,,it is my fault so i have to pay ,,,the drivers car is mobility and i know the situation they are under ,,,just looking at my small print in the insurance it looks like i needed to pay for a upgrade on my insurance to make the dog liable for third partys ...i will look into the bumper company geoff,,,cheers Quote Link to post Share on other sites
